They are encouraged to age considerably longer than most people on the West Coast are accustomed to. Walking through your local wine shop here in the New World, it would not be out of place to see a 2018 or even a 2019 Pinot Noir. There are many reasons of this high turnover of vintages, but speed to turn over vintages as quickly as possible has never been included in our winemaking philosophy. Although we specialize in Central Coast varietals, we deliberately design them to be aged like the classical varietals, where Pinot’s are allowed to age 20 years and beyond according to their potential. Our wines barrel age for up to 24 months and bottle age a minimum of two years and often longer. The 2010 has matured beautifully and ready to drink now.
