“… The Brock Purdy of White Wines…”
San Francisco is home to the largest competition for American wines in the World; the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
This year 50+ wine professionals judged methodically and meticulously 5,500+ wines from nearly 1,000 wineries; among them were three of our Double Bond wines; 2021 Grenache Blanc, 2019 Rosé and 2019 Discombobulated.
All three of them performed beautifully and represented our style and philosophy with great pride.

Judge and renowned Wine Writer Mike Dunne wrote high praise of our Best of Class Grenache Blanc:
"Double Bond 2021 Ballard Canyon Grenache Blanc: Grenache Blanc, especially this hefty, agile and finely finessed interpretation, is the Brock Purdy of white wines - young, coming out of nowhere, and now drawing attention for its surprising versatility, approachability, grace and vigorous disposition. Savor this peachy moment."
